Music

This CD was written, arranged and produced by my brother Tom Diecidue. We did all of the recording in his basement studio using my Gretsch Catalina drum set. My sister Diane Diecidue Taitt added vocals to some of the tunes. Tom did all of the writing, arrangements and final mixdown.

This 2007 CD was written, arranged and produced by song composer Mike Pilgermayer. I had the pleasure of recording all of the drum tracks on Roland V-Drums.

Song composition and arrangement by Calvin Blount. Recorded and produced by yours truly with Ken Barry on Sax. For these tracks I again used Roland V-Drums for their superior sound and ease of recording. These are some of my favorite original tunes of all time, uncomplicated, but groove oriented with funky melodies.

I formed this band to be able to play a different kind of music, music that I and others would enjoy. Calvin Blount, Reggie Woodside, Ken Barry, Don Mayer and Diane Taitt make up Smooth. We played mostly smooth jazz, thus the name (Yeah, I know its not very original). These are not original tunes, but covers done with some very talented people. These were recorded at Tony Bennett studios in NJ.

For many years my brother Tom Diecidue, sister Diane Taitt and his musician friends would put together a CD full of Christmas tunes. Tom would arrange them for rock-n-roll and we would record a CD. We would then put together an event to sell the CD's and put on a concert to raise money for a different charity each time. These were lots of fun to make and perform and we did something good with the music.

Finally, these are songs I composed and arranged myself.  On Beach Day, Summer Rain and Night Sweats, my brother Tom added his guitar tracks.

Most of these tune are very weird and ethereal.  If you're into that sort of stuff, then have at it.
